Art Icons Triptych Card By Trish Bayley

I fell in love with the combined images of the Madonna and Urn stamp when used together, so much I decided to use them are front centerpieces for a Triptych Art Card!

    Supplies Used

  • A4 White Matt Card Stock
  • Single Fold Card Blank Colour Of Choice
  • Ruler
  • Bone Folder
  • Dinner Plate
  • Pencil
  • Memories Permanent Inkpad: Black (Stewart Superior)
  • Sponges for DTP
  • Ancient Page Inkpads: Sienna, Henna, Sage, Saffron, Leaf Green, Bordeaux (Clearsnapr)
  • Water Colour Pencils (Derwent)
  • Water Brush (Judikins)
  • Scissors
  • Post It Notes
  • Gold Peel Off Butterfly Stickers (Stampendous)
  • Scrabble Letters (Innovative Stamp Creations)
  • Double Sided Tape

Directions

1. Take a sheet of card stock and measure the centre of the card using a ruler. Fold the left hand side and the right hand side over so that they meet in the middle of the center line to form a gatefold card blank. Score folds to make them crisp.

2. Next take a large dinner plate and draw around the curve of the plate to create an arched folded card. Cut away the excess.

3. Stamp Hero Arts Script image all over the front of the Triptych and also in the inside of the card too.

4. Apply Bordeaux to the front of the card using sponges, and Saffron to the interior of the card. Let ink dry.

5. Next stamp urn image twice onto 2 seperate sheets of card, mask to protect the image, then stamp the Maddona image over the top. Remove mask.

6. Apply Saffron inkpad colour to the front of the Icon' images you have just stamped. Cut around and affix to the front panels of the Triptych card as shown.

7. Onto a sheet of A6 card stock, stamp and create a Mini Montage (see elsewhere this issue for details on how to do this).

8. Crop and affix to the inside of the Triptych.

9. Stamp Madonna postage iamge twice, apply colour with Bordeaux, cut around and affix to the insides of the left and right panels.

10. Peel of Butterfly stickers and add them to the inside of the card.

11. Trim Scrabble words from sheet and affix to the inside of the card.

Your card is complete.
