I wanted to create an AB page dedicated to the Stone Icon collage image I created, I fell in love with the William Morris style background and decided to use this as my backdrop when creating this altered book page.

    Supplies Used

  • Ready Prepared Book Page To Alter
  • White Matt Card Stock
  • Black and Cream Colour Card Stock
  • Memories Permanent Inkpad: Hunter Green, Port Red, Black, Artprint Brown and Soft Leaf (Stewart Superior)
  • Sponges for DTP
  • Water Colour Pencils (Derwent)
  • Water Brush (Judikins)
  • Scissors
  • Post It Notes
  • Printed ICON word
  • Silver Peel Off Border Stickers (Stampendous)
  • Modge Podge Glue (Plaid)
  • Double Sided Tape


  • Rubber Stamps Used:

  • All Stamps - Cherry Pie

  • Except:
  • Script Background (Hero Arts)
  • Alphabet Strip (Diffusion)


Directions

1. Take a sheet of white card stock, stamp the Urn image (Cherry Pie), stamp same image onto post it note, cut out image and place over the image on the card to protect it.

2. Next stamp the Madonna (Cherry Pie) stamp over the top of the urn, stamp same image again onto post it note, cut around and place over madonna image to protect it.

3. Now stamp Hero Arts script background over the top to fill in the background area.

4. Apply ink from Port Red inkpad using sponges to the text background. Remove all masks. 5. Colour images using Watercolour pencils, crop around.

6. Layer onto black card stock using double sided tape.

7. Repeat stamp cornerr stamp over entire surface of altered book pages with black ink to make a pattern.

8. Apply colour to the background using Hunter Green inkpad and sponges. Let dry.

9. Stamp corner image onto cream card stock using soft leaf inkpad. Crop and affix to the right hand side of the book using double sided tape.

10. Affix Icon collaged image to the left hand side of the book using double sided tape.

11. Print out the word 'ICON' using printer. Cut out and apply colour from Artprint Brown inkpad. Layer over the top of the cream card panel on the right hand side.

Your altered book page is complete.
