I am always hearing about artists that want certain art supplies which they need to save up to get. I was checking out the free templates on the Donovan site,
www.bydonovan.com , and found this fun house bank template. I thought it would be fun to make a bank for saving up for some art supplies, and of course making it an arty looking house while I was at it.
Supplies used for this project:
Print out the House Bank template onto white copy paper and cut out. Trace the cut put pattern onto your white cardstock. You can print it out directly to your white cardstock if you prefer, but I did not want the pattern markings on my finished project so I traced it myself lightly with a pencil. Cut out the pattern.
Color the cardstock shape with the dye inks listed in the supplies list using a sponge. For the Roof, use Vermilion and Beach Ball Yellow. Allow the ink to dry. (You can speed this up by heating it with your heat gun if you wish)

Stamp the Lady image with India Ink Black ink.
Stamp the Paintbrush image with Bikini Pink ink on the two smaller sides of the house.
Stamp the center portion of the Scroll image onto the top part of one side of the house with purple ink. Stamp the two small legs of the same image towards the bottom of the same side using the same ink as shown.
Stamp the Small Clock several times with Pool ink on the last small side of the house.
Stamp the Paint brush image twice on the roof as shown using Purple ink.
Stamp the script image onto the roof with Vermilion ink.
Apply the words to the house as shown in the pictures using the Rub On letters with a bone folder.
Score the flaps and all folds with a bone folder or stylus tool.
Follow the directions for assembly that was printed with the template, using double stick tape or glue to hold it all together.
If your bank will receive lots of handling, you might want to seal it with a spray acrylic sealer.
